We will take morning walks through the farm with treasure maps in hand, harvesting carrots, tomatoes, lettuces, and so many other summer treats along the way. We will collect chicken eggs and milk the goats. Inside the kitchen, we will learn a new recipe everyday as we prepare daily meals together. We will use our plates as canvases and have fun creating edible art. We will learn how to describe flavors from the garden, develop an understanding of the nutritional value of produce in the garden and how to nourish one another. Campers will keep a daily journal to help them better understand and develop recipes, as well as build up their own recipe repertoire. We will learn the importance of health and safety in the kitchen as well as the joy of working with our hands and making food that feels good to eat!
